Discover Elk Rapids
PROJECT DETAILS
Discover Elk Rapids is a collaboration of local municipalities to help promote and encourage tourism to the northern Michigan town and its surrounding areas. It’s also where I live and I couldn’t be more proud of this project and the beautiful imagery displayed throughout the site.
The home page video and the clips used throughout the site was produced by local Lakehouse Creative and Jeff’s work made the direction of the design pretty straightforward . I was inspired by the lakes and natural colors throughout the video and created the wordmark for Discover ER, taking into consideration the design of the current Village of Elk Rapids logo.
The website is utilized by residents and tourists alike, with my favorite page being the recreation page. I love how the trail map turned out with the custom locations and pins. My favorite part of the entire site is how the turquoise from Elk and Torch Lake and even the blues from East Grand Traverse Bay made its way into the design.
